Regular Rules & Regulations

  1. The fishing day begins at 8AM and ends at 4PM.
  2. Do not drive up to the the hatchery parking lot until it is 8AM AND you have checked in with Fred Thorner.
  3. All fishing is Catch and Release.
  4. All flies must have barbless hooks (barbed hooks must be crimped down)
  5. Please do not hog a beat. There are over 30 beats in the park, all of which have plenty of willing fish. One of the advantages of coming here with NYCTU is that you have the run of the entire park. Move around, explore and enjoy. Thirty minutes should be the maximum time you spend on a beat. Everyone wants a shot at the monsters at Beat 16 just below the hatchery. Let’s give everyone a chance!
  6. Connetquot is carry in carry out. There are no trash receptacles
anywhere in the park, so please carry out whatever you carry in.
  7. There is no smoking in the park.
  8. Please obey all of the other park regulations.

Thank you for your participation, cooperation and support,

The Board of Directors of NYCTU
